Babysitter's Training Print E-mail

Babysitter's Training (ages 11-13) $59

 

This course will prepare youth ages 11-13 to be responsible babysitters. Course includes learning to interview for a job, handling emergencies, selecting safe toys and games, supervising children, and feeding and dressing infants and toddlers. Students will practice first aid skills and will use manikins to learn rescue breathing. Class fee includes a Babysitter's Training handbook, Emergency Reference Guide and CD-Rom and a mini first aid kit. Students must be 11 years old before class begins and must attend entire session to earn certificate.

 
Advanced Babysitter's Training Print E-mail

Advanced Babysitter's Training (ages 11-13)  Length: 4 Hours Course Fee $37

Expand your knowledge, skills and confidence even further by becoming certified in First Aid and Child & Infant CPR 

In this course previously certified Babysitter's Training students will expand their knowledge, skills and confidence even further by becoming certified in First Aid and Child & Infant CPR.  Students must bring the book they received in Babysitter's Training to this course.

 
When I'm In Charge Print E-mail

When I'm In Charge (ages 8-11) $29


This two hour Red Cross course prepares children to respond safely to a variety of situations when direct parent supervision is unavailable. Participants will role play answering phone and door situations, discuss gun and internet safety, learn personal safety techniques and discuss basic first aid skills. Each student will receive a participant guide and emergency phone list grid.

 
First Aid For Little People Print E-mail

First Aid For Little People (ages 5-7 or Gr. K-1) $29


This class teaches students how to indentify and respond to emergency situations. Students will learn age appropriate skills for situations such as: choking, bleeding, poisoning, fire and water emergencies. Students will each receive a coloring book and a mini first aid kit.

 
Rescue Kids Print E-mail

Rescue Kids (ages 8-10) $49

This course prepares students to recognize and avoid potentially harmful situations, treat common injuries and respond to emergency situations. This course teaches children how to call 911, perform rescue breathing and choking response skills. Students will practice first aid skills for burns, cuts, scrapes and bites. Participants also discuss fire escape plans and poison prevention. Each child receives an activity book and a mini first aid kit.
