Your Southeast Minnesota Chapter This money is used to support the daily operations and many programs that the local chapter offers in Dodge, Fillmore, Olmsted, and Wabasha Counties. The American Red Cross is not a government agency. Our programs and services are funded through the generosity of the American people. Contributions to the Red Cross, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes.

In Kind Donations to the Chapter - The chapter will accept the following items for internal office use (paper plates & cups, plastic silverware, ground coffee, rolls of paper towels, boxes of tissues, gallons of bleach , 7-10 gallon garbage bags, batteries, stamps, plain copy paper, dish soap, hand soap, Windex, Lysol, stick-on name tags and 12-packs of pop & bottled water) If you are able to make a gift, please contact us at (507) 287-2200.

Planned Giving Planned gifts include gifts of stock, through your will, charitable gift annuities, and gifts of life insurance, just to name a few. Many planned gifts offer significant tax advantages, in addition to benefit of continuing to support the work of your local Red Cross.

In Kind Donations for Victims of a Disaster - The American Red Cross is unable to accept any collections or offers of in-kind goods such as canned goods, clothing, furniture, etc. Cash donations to the Red Cross are the best way to help the victims of a disaster and allow for the most flexible use of resources.

International Response Fund This money enables the Red Cross to provide immediate and long term support through relief supplies, technical assistance and services to those affected by crises throughout the world.
