Blended Learning

Red Cross has a new way to offer First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Training.  

Red Cross Blended Learning offers web-based training combined with a short, in-class skills session.  Flexible and self-paced, the web-based program is available on line 24/7.

  • Reduce In-Class Time with Blended Learning
  • Access courses at your convenience and at your own pace.
  • Course-takers have the option of going through the lessons in full or abbreviated form, and can test out of lessons as well.
  • Access review online content for a full year.
  • Certifiable courses in First Aid, CPR & AED.  Take one course or combine courses.
How does it work?

Stage 1 – Online Training.

Each course participant can take the training from any computer that meets the minimum operating system requirements and has high-speed Internet access.

Stage 2 – Skills Session.

A Red Cross instructor allows the participant to practice then assesses his or her skills.

Babysitters Training

Length: 8 hours		Description: This course will prepare youth 11 years and older to be responsible baby-sitters.  Course includes: interviewing for a job, handling emergencies, selecting safe toys and games, supervising children, feeding and dressing infants, first aid for choking, rescue breathing, and child growth and development.   Student are requested to bring a sack lunch.  Please call  507-287-2200 to register.

Refund Policy: **		 Description: Trains lay responders to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and recognize and care for life threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants. International Humanitarian Law

International Humanitarian Law is the branch of International Law that encompasses humanitarian principles and international treaties that seek to save lives and alleviate suffering of both combatants and noncombatants during times of armed conflict.   Participants who attend this course will learn about International Humanitarian Law, the Geneva Conventions, and the role that the International Red Cross plays during times of armed conflict.  Description: Students who complete our 27 hour instructor course will be able to teach American Red Cross classes in First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillation.  The FA/CPR/AED program is intended to be taught in the workplace and/or the general public. Basic HIV/AIDS Program: HIV Education and Prevention Instructor Course
